Here’s What We’ve Been Up To…
We haven’t been posting too much on social media lately because well, it’s summer and that means the kids are home from school and running a business always comes second to our children. This blog is going to be a long personal life and business life update so we can fill you in!
Personal Updates
Swayzie Turned 8
A couple of weeks ago, we brought some family over to celebrate our oldest daughter’s 8th birthday! She really likes cheetahs so we made the party jungle themed, with lots of cheetahs. Of course her presents were mostly cheetahs as well because we love to see her precious smile. All the kiddos had a great time playing in the sandbox and eating lots of yummy food.
We Met Some Sea Lions
As you probably know, we go to the zoo almost every weekend to see all of our animal friends, especially the sea lions! We’re still doing that and visiting Franklin Park Conservatory when we can. We recently made a TikTok from one of our visits if you’re interested, you can check that out. We went to the Clark County Fair last week to enjoy some fair food and check out the sea lion show. We got our photos taken with the sea lions after the show like we did last year and this time I got my photo taken separately. I was hoping I’d get a sea lion kiss but I got something even better - 3 sea lions (2 being California sea lions and the other being a South American sea lion). We’ve never seen one of those in real life so that was so cool! Being so close to my favorite animal that I actually got to feel it was the coolest thing and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t sob during the photos.
Still Working On Graphic Design With Clients
I’m still taking graphic design and web design clients currently. I’m working with quite a few businesses as well as others to help take their ideas to the next level. Between a website for Tracey Tackett for Clark County Commissioner, custom stickers and decals, and other projects I can’t discuss currently, it’s been busy. Design is one of my favorite things to do so I’m definitely not complaining. When I’m not working on client work, I put my time into Sage & Oak.
Business Updates
Planned Parenthood Sticker Sales
As you’ve probably seen, we designed 3 stickers with a reproductive rights theme that we’ve been selling all month. We’re donating all the profits when we sell the last few stickers, hopefully tomorrow at the Springfield Farmers Market. If not, we’ll still donate at the end of the month/early into next month. So far we’ve raised $184 that we’re going to donate to Planned Parenthood! Here’s a breakdown of what we’ve sold:

Catch Us At The Springfield Farmers Market
Speaking of the Springfield Farmers Market, we’ve been set up there all summer! This market seems to grow each week and each week we become more and more amazed by our community. Not only do people show up to support the vendors, but everyone is always so fun to be around. From the music to the food, you never know what you’re going to find. Come see us every Saturday morning until the end of September at the Springfield Farmers Market from 9 AM - 12:30 PM! The Farmers market takes place at 117 S. Fountain Ave, Springfield, OH (in the alley between the Heritage Center and COhatch). You definitely won’t want to miss this (and not just because our children are selling their adorable Perler bead creations to save up money for things they want to buy, but they are really cute).

While we’re on our website, our wholesale options have been updated on our website to reflect our current sticker availability! As we continue to make new stickers and phase some out, we’re constantly trying to keep this as up-to-date as possible. We’ve Been Making TikToks
We’ve been trying to work on our social media presence (although we dread that part) so we’ve been practicing making TikToks and so far we’ve learned quite a bit! Each video gets better and better so hopefully in time we’ll have it totally down. One of these days we won’t be so afraid to show our faces on camera. Baby steps. Check out our TikToks here. Tote Bags Are Out Of Stock
While we have a bunch of good news, there’s always bound to be some bad, right? Hopefully not, but we do have some unfortunate news. The tote bags we use and love have been super hard to get lately. When we say super hard to get, we mean completely out of stock everywhere and we’ve been totally unable to purchase any. We’re searching for alternatives but so far have not found a better option that we feel is high quality and worth purchasing. We love our tote bags so we won’t give up until we find another option. Until then, we have one “Shop Small” tote bag available and you can purchase it directly from our website or at one of our upcoming events.
New Glass Cans Available
Back to the good news, this one involves inventory as well! We recently started making glass can cups and selling them during the Springfield Farmers Market. They have been such a hit and we’ve had a lot of fun coming up with new designs! Unfortunately due to some prior issues shipping glass items, we aren’t listing these on our website. We don’t want to risk you receiving a broken glass can so we have opted out of shipping this particular product. If you’re local, you can come by and check out what we’ve got! Our selection is always changing!
Working On New Polymer Clay Earrings
For those that love our polymer clay earrings, this one is for you! We’ve been working hard to come up with new ways to style our earrings as well as new designs. Between silkscreens, cutters, new techniques, and molds, we are really proud of our growth. We can’t wait to present you with all new earrings next month! We will try to do better listing them on our website as well so that people who are not local will have a chance to enjoy them! It’s just a long process for each earring that we’ve been slacking on those.
Looking to Branch Out Into Other Shops
Since we’re starting to branch out and create a ton of inventory, we are looking to start selling our products in other shops! We’re finally at the point where we’re finding a routine that works best for us and we’ve been going for it! Just this week we have made 12 cups, 10 planters, and about 10 pairs of earrings! If you are a business owner or know one looking for new products, feel free to send us their way!
