Monarch butterflies are some of the most amazing insects in the entire world and they’re now considered endangered. Did you know they only live for between four to five weeks and during those weeks, they embark on their migratory journey from the northeast United States and Canada to Central Mexico, a trip between 1,200-2,800 miles. Unfortunately these insects are considered endangered due to climate change and habitat loss. According to the WWF, the eastern migratory monarch butterfly population has decreased by more than 80% over the last three decades.
